A Luz Da Sua Cruz # The Light Of His Cross

Para os residentes sortudos do Hemisfério Sul, ou aqueles suficientemente afortunados para desfrutar férias em Buenos Aires ou Fiji, há um deleite estrelar que poucos do Hemisfério Norte conhecem. É chamado de Cruzeiro do Sul, uma pequena mas bela constelação localizada no céu do Sul, muito perto da constelação vizinha de Centauros.

Infelizmente, enquanto o Cruzeiro do Sul é uma das características mais reconhecidas nos céus do Hemisfério Sul, devido ao aumento da quantidade de luz artificial em lugares como Sidney, na Austrália, o Cruzeiro do Sul está a começar a parecer mais fraco e menos distintivo no céu, como se estivesse a tornar-se invisível.

Parecido com a vida de muitos que afirmam ser Cristãos. A influência do mundo sobre os padrões éticos e morais é tão grande que a verdade encontrada na Bíblia está a tornar-se mais difícil de ver. Onde uma vez fomos luz na escuridão, agora alguma da nossa luz está a desaparecer na obscuridade, sem ser visto num mundo cheio de escuridão.

Mas não precisa de ser assim. Se te chamas Cristão, deixa-me fazer uma pergunta. A Luz de Cristo, a Luz da Sua Cruz, está a brilhar na tua vida? Ou é realmente inexistente, invisível para os outros? Não permitas que a tua luz desapareça sem ter uma influência positiva para Cristo.

For the lucky residents of the Southern Hemisphere, or those fortunate enough to enjoy a vacation in Buenos Aires or Fiji, there’s a stellar delight that few Northerners know about. It’s called the Southern Cross, a small but beautiful constellation located in the southern sky, very close to the neighboring constellation of Centaurus.

Unfortunately, while the Southern Cross is one of the most recognizable features in the skies of the Southern Hemisphere, because of the increase in the amount of artificial light in places like Sydney, Australia, the Southern Cross is beginning to appear fainter and less distinctive in the sky, as though it is becoming invisible.

How like the lives of many who claim to be Christians. The influence of the world on the ethical and moral standards is so great that the truth as found in the Bible is becoming harder to see. Where once we were light in the darkness, now some of our light has faded into obscurity, no longer seen in a world filled with darkness.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. If you call yourself a Christian, let me ask you a question. Is the Light of Christ, the Light of His Cross, shining through your life? Or is it really non-existent, invisible to others? Don’t allow your light to vanish without having a positive influence for Christ.

Duas semanas depois do horrível tiroteio no Stoneman Douglas High School, onde 17 pessoas foram mortas e 16 outras ficaram feridas; estudantes da escola secundária de Parkland Florida regressaram às aulas a 28 de Fevereiro. Para ajudar a auxiliar com a transição de volta para a escola, os alunos receberam mais de 40 cães de terapia, juntamente com membros da comunidade, incluindo: pais, policias, vizinhos e conselheiros.

Two weeks after the horrific Stoneman Douglas High School shooting where 17 people were killed and 16 more were injured; students of the Parkland Florida high school returned to class on February 28th. To help assist with the transition back to school, students were met with more than 40 therapy dogs along with members from the community including: parents, police officers, neighbours and counsellors.

Aqueles Que Ouviram Não Têm Nenhuma Desculpa # Those Who Have Heard Have No Excuse

Jesus disse: "Eu Sou o caminho, a verdade e a vida, ninguém vem ao Pai senão através de Mim." Então, o que é que acontece com os que morrem sem ouvir a salvação encontrada em Cristo? É uma pergunta difícil de responder, mas com o que Jesus disse, não poderia ser mais claro. Por isso, a igreja recebeu um mandato; devemos levar o evangelho a todas as tribos e nações.

Mas e os que nunca tiveram a oportunidade de ouvir porque a igreja simplesmente ainda não completou a sua missão? A Bíblia diz que a pessoa que nunca conseguiu ouvir sobre Jesus ainda será responsável por responder diante de Deus com a revelação natural de Deus que receberam (Romanos 1:20). Agora como é que Deus faz isso? Não sei. No entanto, sabemos que Deus, que sacrificou o Seu Filho para a nossa salvação, quer que recebamos esta salvação. E Ele vai ser recto, justo e amoroso. Devemos confiar Nele para tomar a decisão certa para aqueles que nunca ouviram. Sabemos que Ele fará o que é melhor.

Mas quanto a ti, que já ouviste, escutaste? Porque aqueles que ouviram não têm nenhuma desculpa. Certifica-te que escolhes Jesus, porque Ele realmente é o único caminho para Deus.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me." So, what happens to those who die without actually hearing of the salvation found in Christ? It is a difficult question to answer, but with what Jesus said, it couldn’t be clearer. Because of that, the church is given a mandate; we’re to take the gospel to every tribe and nation.

But what about those who never have a chance to hear because the church simply has not completed its mission yet? The Bible says the person that has never been able to hear of Jesus is still going to be responsible for responding to God with the natural revelation of God that they have received (Romans 1:20). Now how God does this? I don’t know. Yet, we know that God, who has sacrificed His Son for our salvation, wants us to receive that salvation. And He is going to be fair, just and loving. We must trust Him to make the right decision for those who have never heard. We know He will do the right thing.

But as for you, you have heard, did you listen? Because those who have heard are without excuse. Be sure you choose Jesus, because He truly is the only way to God.
