O Relógio Continua O Tiquetaque # The Clock Keeps On Ticking

Ouves o relógio a fazer tiquetaque? O tempo continua. Nunca pára para ninguém, não importa quão importante és. Simplesmente não conseguimos encontrar o suficiente. Mas uma coisa é certa, Deus quer que sejamos bons mordomos do nosso tempo e nunca seremos capazes até que conheçamos claramente o nosso propósito de vida. O ponto de partida é saber porque estamos aqui.

Como, podes perguntar?

Primeiro, pede a Deus que te ajude a desenvolver uma declaração do propósito da vida. Vai demorar algum tempo, mas é o melhor momento em que vais investir. Descobre porque estás aqui. Em segundo lugar, decide a cada dia o que é mais importante para fazeres nesse dia e fá-lo. Ao ter um propósito claro e fazer o mais importante diariamente, Deus pode revolucionar a tua vida e ajudar-te a aproveitar ao máximo o teu tempo.

Do you hear the clock ticking? Time keeps moving on. It never stops for anyone, no matter how important you are. We just can’t find enough of that stuff. But one thing is for sure, God wants us to be good stewards of our time and we’ll never be able to until we’re clear about our purpose for living. The starting point is knowing why we’re here.

How, you might ask?

First, ask God to help you develop a life-purpose statement. It will take some time, but it’s the best time you’ll ever invest. Know why you’re here. Second, decide each day what’s most important for you to do that day, and do it. By having a clear purpose, and doing the most important thing each day, God can revolutionize your life and help you make the most of your time.

Amando O Pai # Loving The Father

Lê o verso Bíblico de hoje. Será que Jesus está a dizer que devemos ganhar o amor de Deus sendo bons? Lembra-te, quando estudamos a Palavra de Deus, queremos sempre observar as Escrituras à luz da Escritura. Não há dúvida de que somos salvos apenas pela fé através da graça. Mas também não há dúvida de que como demonstramos que estamos realmente salvos é a forma como obedecemos a Deus de bom grado. Pensa nisto desta maneira. Não é como se Deus não ame os meninos e meninas maus, porque Deus ama a todos. Por exemplo, como um pai amoroso, amas os teus filhos, não importa o que eles façam. Se eles são maus, ainda assim os amas. Mas quando esta criança obedece de forma consistente, aprecias esta criança ainda mais! Porquê? Porque esta criança está a dizer: "Eu confio em ti suficientemente para fazer o que estás a me pedir para fazer!" A vida é melhor para eles e para ti, quando o fazem.

É o mesmo com Deus. Deus ama a todos mesmo quando somos maus. Mas Deus certamente ama (não nós!) mais quando somos obedientes a Ele. Porque Deus sabe que, quando confiamos Nele, realmente O amamos! Ele o deseja, como qualquer pai desejaria.

Read today’s Scripture reference. Is Jesus saying we’ve got to earn the love of God by being good? Remember, when we study the Word of God we always want to look at Scripture in light of Scripture. There’s no doubt that we are saved by faith through grace alone. But there’s also no doubt that how we prove we are really saved is the way we obey God willingly. Think about it this way. It’s not like God doesn’t love bad little boys and girls, because God loves everyone. For instance, as a loving parent, you love your children no matter what they do. If they’re bad, you still love them. But when that child consistently obeys you, you appreciate that child even more! Why? Because that child is saying, "I trust you enough to do what you’re asking me to do!" Life is better for them, and for you, when they do.

It’s the same way with God. God loves all of us even when we’re bad. But God surely does love it (not us!) more when we’re obedient to Him. Because God knows that when we trust Him, we really do love Him! He desires that, as any parent would.
