Tens A Fé Para Crer? # Do You Have The Faith To Believe?

Já ouviste alguém dizer: "Ei, eu acredito em Deus. Sou religioso. Mas tudo isto sobre Jesus a ressurgir dos mortos? Não sei, isto é um pouco estranho. Mostra-me um destes milagres e então vou crer." Bem, aqui estão algumas más notícias para aqueles que podem crer desta forma. Os guardas Romanos viram a ressurreição de Jesus Cristo e escolheram não crer. Os líderes religiosos que já criam em Deus envolveram-se num esquema, apenas porque escolheram não crer. Embora tenham visto milagre após milagre, escolheram não crer.

Sabes, mesmo que visses um milagre, seria difícil creres por várias razões. Sobretudo, pelo teu orgulho. Terias de admitir que estavas errado. Mas não é só isso, há a questão de desistir do controlo. Ninguém gosta de desistir do controlo. Se Cristo realmente ressuscitou dos mortos, então Ele realmente é quem Ele diz que Ele é. E se vais ser salvo, Ele vai ser a única maneira de o conseguires. Isto significaria ter alguém como o teu Senhor para além de ti. E gostas de estar no comando. Gostas de ser o chefe, o senhor da tua vida. Isto é difícil de engolir.

Olha, se estás decidido a não crer, mesmo que um homem se levante dos mortos e entra no escritório de alguém, ainda assim haveria muitos naquele escritório que escolheriam não crer. Vais ser um desses? Ou vais ser alguém que tem a FÉ para crer? É o que é preciso, sabes. Fé. Eu tenho. E tu?

Ever hear someone say, "Hey, I believe in God. I’m religious. But all this stuff about Jesus rising from the dead? I don’t know, that’s a little out there. Show me one of those miracles and then I’d believe." Well, here’s some bad news for those who might believe that way. Roman guards saw the resurrection of Jesus Christ and chose not to believe. The religious leaders who already believed in God engaged in a cover up, just because they chose not to believe. Even though they had seen miracle after miracle, they chose not to believe.

You see, even if you saw a miracle, it would be hard for you to believe for several reasons. Most of all, your pride. You’d have to admit that you were wrong. But not only that, there’s the issue of giving up control. Nobody likes to give up control. If Christ really did rise from the dead, then He really is who He says He is. And if you’re going to be saved, He’s going to be the only way you make it. It would mean having someone else as your Lord other than yourself. And you like to be in charge. You like to be the boss, the lord of your life. That’s hard to swallow.

Look, if you’re determined not to believe, even if a man rises from the dead and walks into someone’s office, there will still be many in that office who would choose to disbelieve. Are you going to be one of those? Or are you going to be one who has the FAITH to believe? That’s what it takes, you know. Faith. I have it. Do you?
