Sê Grato Nas Coisas Pequenas – Tudo O Resto É Molho! # Be Thankful In The Small Things – Everything Else Is Gravy!

 #

In spite of the recent financial troubles that have run rampant in so many of our lives, somehow we still find the need to have more "things". In our rush to acquire wealth and possessions, shouldn’t we be asking ourselves, "Just how much is enough?" Simply put, God’s Word tells us: When you see that God is meeting the basic necessities of your life, be content. Be thankful. The apostle Paul says, "Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need." (Philippians 4:11-12)

In other words, the apostle Paul understood. He could be content with little. He could be content with much! Let’s learn to follow his example. Because Christianity is most of all a relationship, when we are in a right relationship with God through Christ, one of the many by-products is contentment.

So, as long as the basic necessities of life are being met, be thankful. Everything over and above is just extra blessings!

Teria a fé Islâmica existido? Qual seria a actual situação política no Médio Oriente?

Educators, researchers, writers, and others are often united by a common love of history. As a part of this group, many like to play a game called, "Alternative History". Entire books have been written exploring such questions such as, "What if the British had won the Revolutionary War?" or "What if the Japanese had been repelled at Pearl Harbor?" When playing this game, we can easily see how one seemingly small event can domino into hundreds of subsequent events, eventually changing the course of human history dramatically.

Think of the consequences of some of the Biblical events. What would have been the consequences if Abraham had trusted God, not fathered Ishmael through his maid, and Isaac had been his true first-born? Would the Islamic faith have ever existed? What would be the current political situation in the Middle East? Would 9/11 have occurred?

Perhaps we can look to Harry Truman for the answer to some of these questions. When he was asked, "What if the South had won the Civil War?" He curtly replied, "They didn’t!" Still, it is interesting to ponder the long-term consequences of man’s poor use of his free will. Kind of makes you pause and reflect on the long-term effects of your own day-to-day decisions, doesn’t it?

Surgiram as nuvens.

It's a privilege to visit the base of the Matterhorn in Switzerland on a beautiful day. It has to be one of the most majestic sites on earth. But it may happen that you wake up one morning, to view the Matterhorn once again and it's gone! Absolutely no evidence it was there. The clouds rolled in. But when the clouds lift, it's obvious the mountain has not moved.

Sometimes it’s like that with God. We come to experience Him in an awe-inspiring way. But later the clouds of life roll in: disappointment, rejection, suffering. It’s like God is nowhere to be found.

But remember, He has not moved. He’s as sure and as near as the Matterhorn is in Switzerland when you can't see it. So, when the clouds move in, it’s time to show God you really do have faith. For in time, the clouds of life will lift and you’ll see that God has not moved, He was there all along.

O Tempo Está A Esgotar-se! # Time Is Running Out!

Do you ever feel like there’s just not enough time in each day? Well, we have to remember we all have the same amount of time: one hundred sixty-eight hours a week, twenty-four hours a day. The key is making the most of our time. This is a spiritual, as well as practical, issue.

Scripture says, "Be careful, then, how you live, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time." So how do you do that? List the top three to five priorities of your life. This list will help you prioritize how you spend your time.

Concentrate on what’s most important and major on the majors. As you approach each day, write down the most important thing you need to do, commit to do it, then go to the second most important thing and do it.

Effective time management is an important discipline to have, in order to live the successful life. So get with it before your time runs out.

When you were young, did you ever have thoughts of someday being powerful and in charge? If so, you probably could feel the power welling up inside just at the anticipation of that accomplishment.

Well, when Joseph of the Old Testament was seventeen, he had a dream prophesying that he would someday rule over his brothers. This peek into his destiny filled him with self-confidence; he was a young man who was riding high. But the fact is, he wasn’t ready to rule over his brothers yet. He needed to go through some character-shaping times. And indeed, he did just that, spending thirteen years facing setbacks, challenges, and even prison. Although Joseph was forgotten by man during those times, he was never forgotten by God. Through adversity, God molded his character so that when Pharaoh appointed him the Prime Minister of Egypt, he was ready to fulfill his God-chosen destiny.

Think about Joseph when you go through tough times in your own life. Sometimes God breaks us and allows us to hit rock bottom so that He can shape us into the person that He is calling us to be. Maybe the adversity is God’s way to toughen you, teach you, and prepare you for the great plans He has for you.

Yet just five days later, at 2:20 a.m. on April 15, 1912, it was all gone, disappeared, a massive wreckage at the bottom of the sea.

God’s Word says, "Pride goes before a fall, and a haughty spirit before stumbling." Prideful "Titanics" sink into destruction, but a good life that is humble before God and man has a better chance to withstand the storms of life.

Confias Suficientemente Em Deus Para Obedecê-Lo? # Do You Trust God Enough To Obey Him?

One of the many great mysteries in the Bible is why God put that ONE tree in the Garden of Eden from which man was not to eat. Have you ever wondered why? God provided man plenty to eat, but He put that one tree in the middle of the garden and told Adam that he must not eat from it.

Well, the reason is very simple. God loves us and He created us to have fellowship with Him. There is not true love in a relationship unless we are free to reject that love. God gave man a free will to decide if we love Him enough to trust Him, and trust Him enough to obey Him. To love God is to obey Him. It’s a choice. If we have no choice, we have no opportunity to love. Instead, we’re robots or puppets.

But, what is really amazing, God’s love is so great that even though we all choose to disobey Him more often than we’d like to admit, He gives us a way to be forgiven, changed, and empowered to love Him through Jesus Christ. Why don’t you choose Christ in faith and you’ll be forgiven and made right with God. It’s a relationship like none you’ve known before!

Eu endireitaria a minha vida."

Não quero decepcionar-te, mas isso não é verdade! Vê todas aquelas pragas no Egipto.

We are a society that seems to say, "I can’t just have ‘faith’ that something is there. I need a sign. I won’t believe in it unless I can see it." Well, obviously, that’s not really true, because every single day of our lives, we do things that require faith. Things as simple as walking on the floor of our homes, having faith that the builder did the job well enough that we won’t fall through. We drive across bridges with the faith that they will hold us until we get across. How about this, these are the words posted on a sign at a local church: "Well, you have been asking me for a sign! – God." Now be honest. Are you one of those folks that have said at different times in your life, "You know, if I could just see a sign; if I could just see a miracle, I’d believe in God. I’d get my life straight."

I hate to disappoint you, but that’s just not true! Look at all those plagues in Egypt. How did Pharaoh and the Egyptians respond? Their hearts just got harder. And look at what happened with the miracles of Jesus. People witnessed Him raise a man from the dead and all they could think about was how to get rid of Him. Most didn’t change; their hearts just got harder and harder. Throughout history, people’s hearts haven’t changed because they saw or experienced a miracle. Miracles simply reveal if a person is hard-hearted toward God or if they have any inkling of faith.

Are you waiting for some sign or miracle to appear to give you the "proof" you’re looking for to believe in God? Remember, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for." The evidence for God’s existence is everywhere. What you have to decide is if you’ll be open-minded enough to see it, see Him, then change your mind and believe.

MercyMe - Even If ... ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

They say sometimes you win some
Sometimes you lose some
And right now, right now I'm losing bad
I've stood on this stage night after night
Reminding the broken it'll be alright
But right now, oh right now I just can't

It's easy to sing
When there's nothing to bring me down
But what will I say
When I'm held to the flame
Like I am right now

I know You're able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone

They say it only takes a little faith
To move a mountain
Good thing
A little faith is all I have right now
But God, when You choose
To leave mountains unmovable
Give me the strength to be able to sing
It is well with my soul

I know You're able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone
I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt
Would all go away if You'd just say the word
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone

You've been faithful, You've been good
All of my days
Jesus, I will cling to You
Come what may
‘Cause I know You're able
I know You can

I know You're able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone
I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt
Would all go away if You'd just say the word
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone

It is well with my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul

Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer, except that which lies outside the will of God.
