In this interesting close-up by Dietmut Teijgeman-Hansen, we see what remains of a leaf that was likely consumed by an insect and is now slowly decomposing. The reason this skeletal like pattern remains in the leaves is due to higher concentrations of lignin (a strong carbon structural molecule that is what makes wood woody) in the tracheid xylem cells. The more easily decomposed cells will rot away (or be eaten away, as it is more nutritious and more easily digested by insects), leaving the tougher skeletal lignin frame.

When you believe you are the beloved, you begin to see love notes in the impossible.

Vivendo Com Perguntas # Living With Questions

 #

We are simply not willing to live with questions. But sometimes God answers us with questions. Questions that leave us humbled, awed, speechless, weak and believing. Believing not because we've found the answer, but because we've seen God. It doesn't matter that we have more questions now than when we started. It matters that we see God, for in the seeing, we discover that the truest answer to all our questions is to worship Him. ~ John 14:6-7

David Phelps - The Name Lives On ... ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

Heavenly Father
We love Your precious name

It stands to reason that a name is just a word
It can be easily forgotten
Just as soon as it is heard
But one name was spoken before the world's first day
And it will be here when everything that is has passed away

Delivered from the lips of God
To Mary's ears on angels wings
Jesus, Jesus
The word that came to life for us
The song that all creation sings
Jesus, Jesus
The proudest nations of the earth have come and gone
But Jesus, the name lives on

When I'm awakened by a terrifying dream
And desperation reaches up and clutches me
When I am so afraid that I don't know what to pray
I simply speak it and feel it and it chases fear away

Delivered from the lips of God
To Mary's ears on angels wings
Jesus, sweet Jesus
The word that came to life for us
The song that all creation sings
Jesus, oh Jesus
The proudest nations of the earth have come and gone
But Jesus, the name lives on

Eternal hope and promise, the ever-breaking dawn
When time itself is over, the name lives on, and on

Delivered from the lips of God
To Mary's ears on angels wings
Jesus, oh Jesus
The word that came to life for us
The song that all creation sings
Jesus, sweet Jesus
The proudest nations of the earth have come and gone
But Jesus, the name lives on

Outubro # October

The maple tree in front of the doorstep burned like a gigantic red torch.
The oaks along the roadway glowed yellow and bronze.
The fields stretched like a carpet of jewels, emerald and topaz and garnet.
Everywhere she walked the color shouted and sang around her…
In October any wonderful unexpected thing might be possible.”

The Lessons of Life

Life is a school rich of teachings.
We see a bird breaking the shell of it’s little egg and we learn to break through our limitations...
We see the sky darkening and lightening and we learn that everything comes and goes...
We see a dog following a drunky, sleeping with him outside and we learn what is loyalty...
We see the activity of an anthill and we learn about cooperation...
We see a homeless person building his home and we learn the value of work...
We open the bedroom window and the light takes over the room, inviting us to open our heart to love...
Every event, every joy and every sorrow, is a lesson.
Not for us to get lost in lamentations when something terrible happens apparently, because God has a much greater purpose...
We become better, wiser and stronger, more brother to our brother...
There are no tragedies, only lessons harder to learn.

Matthew West - Save A Place For Me ... ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

Don't be mad if I cry
It just hurts so bad sometimes
'Cause everyday it's sinking in
And I have to say goodbye all over again

You know I bet it feels good
To have the weight of this world
Off Your shoulders now
I'm dreaming of the day
When I'm finally there with You

Save a place for me, save a place for me
I'll be there soon, I'll be there soon
Save a place for me, save some grace for me
I'll be there soon, I'll be there soon

I have asked the questions why
But I guess the answer's for another time
So instead I'll pray with every tear
And be thankful for the time I had You here

So You just save a place for me, save a place for me
I'll be there soon, I'll be there soon
Save a place for me, save some grace for me
I'll be there soon, I'll be there

I wanna live my life just like You did
And make the most of my time just like You did
And I wanna make my home up in the sky
Just like You did, oh, but until I get there
Until I get there

Just save a place for me, save a place for me
'Cause I will be there soon

Save a place for me, save a place for me
I'll be there soon, I'll be there soon

Don't be mad if I cry
It just hurts so bad
