Ryan Stevenson ft. GabeReal - Eye of the Storm ... ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

When the solid ground is falling out
From underneath my feet
Between the black skies and my red eyes
I can barely see
When I realize I've been let down by my friends and my family
I can hear the rain reminding me

In the eye of the storm, You remain in control
In the middle of the war, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn
Your love surrounds, me in the eye of the storm

When my hopes and dreams are far from me
And I'm running out of faith
I see the future I pictured slowly fade away
And when the tears of pain and heartache are pouring down my face
I find my peace in Jesus' name

In the eye of the storm, You remain in control
In the middle of the war, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me, in the eye of the storm

When they let me go and I just don't know
How I'm gonna make ends meet
I did my best
Now I'm scared to death
That we might lose everything

And when a sickness takes my child away
And there's nothing I can do
My only hope is to trust You
I trust You LORD

In the eye of the storm, You remain in control
In the middle of the war, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me, in the eye of the storm

In the eye of the storm, You remain in control
In the middle of the war, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor when my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm

Um Dia, Todas As Coisas Estarão Bem # One Day, All Things Will Be Made Right

Have you noticed that it just seems things in this world aren’t right? When you think about violence against man, the animal kingdom’s survival of the fittest, or pollution poisoning our air and streams, it becomes really evident that things aren’t right. Isn’t it incredible how the earth, with all its beauty and wonder, can become a destructive force against itself through earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, and floods?

The Bible says, "...the whole creation groans and suffers the pain of childbirth." See, in the beginning before man sinned, everything was in sync. There was such peace on earth that even man and animals were vegetarians. There was no killing of any kind. But now the earth has entered into a period that God likens to a mother giving birth, and, like childbirth, things will get worse before they get better.

All creation longs for things to be made right, and one day it will be, the day when Jesus returns. It will be a time of salvation and judgment. Judgment will be for those who are not right with God, and salvation for those who are. His coming will usher in a new age of harmony and peace on earth. Won’t it be great? If you’re ready, yes. If you’re not, no. The key question for you is, will you be ready? The only way to be ready is through faith in Jesus Christ.

Olhando Para Trás Para Avançar # Looking Back To Move Forward

Lembra-te. Olha para trás, para avançar.

When was the last time God showed-up in your life? Do you remember when God intervened in an impossible situation, how He blessed you in the middle of a crisis? The disciples had seen Jesus miraculously feed 5,000 men and their families with two fish and five loaves of bread. Then that very night, they found themselves in a storm and quickly forgot that great miracle. We tend to have short memories when it comes to crisis, to the hardships of the faith journey. For some reason it’s easy to forget God’s past faithfulness when a new obstacle threatens to derail our lives.

Jesus told His disciples to expect challenges. Don’t be surprised when trials appear, when you don’t understand what’s happening or why. This is part of life. Instead, stop and remember what God has done in the past. Hold onto the faith of yesterday to get through today. Look back before moving forward.

The children of Israel experienced this same fear and uncertainty like Jesus’ disciples. On the brink of entering the Promised Land, they were overcome by fear. They began to panic at the obstacles before them. That’s when Moses steps in, telling them to look back, look back at the miracles God performed in the past.

Yet the people were only focused on the problem, the enemy. And the longer they focused, the faster their fear grew. They quickly forgot the miracles God performed in Egypt only a short-time earlier to free His people from slavery.

In the same way, Jesus says to us, Stop. Remember. Look back. Look back to the miraculous power of God. Look back to how God has blessed you in the past as you face big challenges today. Remember how your Heavenly Father has met your needs in the past. Stop. Remember. Look back, to move forward.

O Segredo Para O Trabalho Significativo # The Secret To Meaningful Work

The story is told of a woman who cleaned the same office building for many years. When asked how she endured the drudgery of doing the same chores day in and day out, she replied, "It’s not drudgery. I’m working for the King and He’s pleased, (along with others) when I do my best." This woman found the secret to meaningful work.

How about you? When was the last time you found joy in your work? The Bible gives us a key, "Whatever you do, do all for the glory of God." When we work for the Lord and to serve other people, any honorable work has meaning.

It all depends on your attitude. Are you anticipating another day of drudgery? If so, that’s probably what you’ll get. But if you’re planning to live this day to please God and to serve your fellow man, you may be surprised at how the drudgery is replaced by joy and meaning.

So, with this in mind, it is my prayer that you will find the secret to meaningful work.

Mostra-Me A Tua Paciência # Show Me Your Patience

Ele é a paciência!

Deixa-me esclarecer isto.

Todas as nossas obras serão expostas. Estaremos completamente expostos. A Sua paciência e graça serão exibidas gloriosamente.

~ 2 Pedro 3:8-10

 #

I don’t know about you, but when I think about a conversation on patience I typically don’t think happy thoughts. Every conversation that revolves around patience reminds me how little I truly have! I once heard someone say they didn’t ever pray for patience because they knew if they prayed for patience, God would put them in situations where they needed patience and those were the situations they are trying to avoid! The reality is patience is a virtue that is difficult to find!

We all know we need more patience in our lives, but everything in the world we live in is teaching us and conditioning us to operate with less and less patience. High speed internet, microwave ovens, fast food drive thru. This goes on and on. No wonder we struggle with patience! If it does not happen quickly and when we want it, we are ticked! As a result of our struggle with patience, it can be difficult for us to truly understand the patience of God and see the gift of His patience toward us.

The good news is God is not like us! We are not like God! Isn’t that great? We have a tendency to view God through the lens of our humanity, but He is God! He does not struggle with patience! It is not like He is biting His lip and gritting His teeth to put up with you. Patience is not something He has to work on. He IS patience! It is one of His attributes, part of His character.

Let me make this clear. If God was not a patient God, we would have no chance for anything. So, let’s look more closely at His patience:

1. God’s patience is supernatural. Through His infinite lens, "one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." And He loves us. In fact, His patience is fueled by His love for us.

2. God’s patience is for a purpose. To lead us to repentance. What is repentance? It’s to have another mind. To turn around and go the other direction. So, His patience is meant to lead us to a place where we can recognize His amazing, beautiful grace and mercy.

3. The patience of God points to the Glory of God. When we truly understand the reality of this statement, it is a sobering thought. Not all will call on the name of the Lord, so there is an urgency to this message of God’s patience. A day is coming for each of us when we will have to stand before the most high God. All of our works will be exposed. We will be totally and completely laid bare. On that day the Glory of God will be perfectly and completely revealed. Those who are followers of Jesus Christ will stand before God and when He looks at us, He will see His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, instead of seeing our imperfect works and deeds, God will see the good and perfect works of His Son. His patience and grace will be gloriously displayed. It will be beautiful beyond our imaginations.

Don’t miss out on the gift of God’s patience as He pursues you with His mercy and grace. His patience is inviting you to trust in Him as your Savior and Lord.

Mostra-Me Como Ser Grato # Show Me How To Be Grateful

Deixa a luta levar-te à verdade!

~ 1 Tessalonicenses 5:16-19

Gratitude is a choice. It is a mindset and a mentality that is fueled by our perspective. Gratitude is an attitude of the heart. There is a saying that goes like this: "You choose your attitude". You cannot control many things in life but you can control your attitude! Are you living with a mindset of gratitude? Are you rejoicing in all things? Did you know it is God’s will that you learn what it means to give thanks in all things and live with a heart of gratitude? So, how do you know if you are living in gratitude? Here are some thoughts that might help you:

Do you see the power of God at work in the trials of life, or do you only see the challenges and trial?

God does some of His greatest work in our lives when we realize our need for Him. His power is most clearly on display when we trust Him with the things we can’t control. Are you focusing on the difficulties of life or do you consider it all joy, because you know God is at work? Please understand, this is not about a superficial smile, attempting to make it look like everything is okay. This is about the supernatural power of God working in our lives to show us more of His love and grace in ways that we never would have seen without the struggle. God uses the pain to draw us deeper into His love and grace... if we will trust Him. Let the struggle drive you to the truth!

Are you thankful for the blessings in your life, or are you bitter about the things that you don’t have?

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to miss out on the blessings in life because you are so focused on what you don’t have? Are you grateful for the things God has provided? It does not matter who you are or what your situation, every single one of us has reasons to be thankful. It is a choice. Will you choose to be grateful for what you have, or will you choose to allow the things you don’t have rob you of your joy?

Are you living a generous life, or are you trying to hold on to all you have?

The blessings of God have been given to you to be a blessing to others! God invites us into the process of blessing others because He knows that generosity provides us with some of the greatest joy we can find! A grateful heart chooses to give and live generously! If you trust that all you have has been given to you by God, you will live with open hands.

Are you more focused on what you have to do than what Jesus has already done for you?

If you are up before the noisy turbulence of life you'll have a much better chance of hearing the promptings of the Spirit throughout the day. You have a much better chance of seeing those things for which you should be grateful. Are you stopping to listen? Is there a time in your day when you are intentionally disconnected, a moment set aside where there are no devices within your reach and no "to-do" list to distract you? Do you go to God’s Word to be reminded of the Good News of the Gospel? Or are your running all day at a frantic pace trying to get everything done while quenching the Holy Spirit and forgetting to be grateful?

God is still on His throne. What appears to be a huge trial just might become the greatest masterpiece of God working in your life! Are you willing to focus on who He is and what He has done for you? If you are, then you will discover how to be grateful.

Tens A Fé Para Crer? # Do You Have The Faith To Believe?

Mostra-me um destes milagres e então vou crer."

Eu tenho. E tu?

Ever hear someone say, "Hey, I believe in God. I’m religious. But all this stuff about Jesus rising from the dead? I don’t know, that’s a little out there. Show me one of those miracles and then I’d believe." Well, here’s some bad news for those who might believe that way. Roman guards saw the resurrection of Jesus Christ and chose not to believe. The religious leaders who already believed in God engaged in a cover up, just because they chose not to believe. Even though they had seen miracle after miracle, they chose not to believe.

You see, even if you saw a miracle, it would be hard for you to believe for several reasons. Most of all, your pride. You’d have to admit that you were wrong. But not only that, there’s the issue of giving up control. Nobody likes to give up control. If Christ really did rise from the dead, then He really is who He says He is. And if you’re going to be saved, He’s going to be the only way you make it. It would mean having someone else as your Lord other than yourself. And you like to be in charge. You like to be the boss, the lord of your life. That’s hard to swallow.

Look, if you’re determined not to believe, even if a man rises from the dead and walks into someone’s office, there will still be many in that office who would choose to disbelieve. Are you going to be one of those? Or are you going to be one who has the FAITH to believe? That’s what it takes, you know. Faith. I have it. Do you?

Podes Ser O Único Jesus Que Alguém Vê # You May Be The Only Jesus Someone Sees

~ Mateus 6:11-12

In the New Testament, before Saul became Paul, he was a religious terrorist, persecuting, arresting and, at times, approving the killing of Christians. What you may not realize is his real hostility was not so much at the church as it was with Jesus. Christians, realize this important point. When you are mocked by others, when you feel excluded by others, when you feel the persecution of others, recognize that these people are not really angry with you as a person. They’re angry because you love Jesus. It’s still true of religious terrorists today. They probably have absolutely no idea, but their battle isn’t with the "Christians", per se. It’s because of Who the Christians profess to believe in, and His name is Jesus.

Whoever it is that gives you a hard time for being a Christian, don’t take it personally. Instead, seek to love them, forgive them, and pray for them. Who knows, your positive witness to them may convict their hearts of their need of Jesus. They may see in you what they want for themselves.

Dar Tudo # Giving It All Away

Depois podes vir acompanhar-Me."

Onde estamos a depositar a nossa segurança, a nossa esperança?

Where do you find your security, in wealth, status, career? If you were asked to give it all away, would you? Could you?

In Matthew, we read of a rich young man approaching Jesus. He wants to follow Him. But Jesus, knowing the true heart behind people’s motives and priorities says to the man: "If you want to follow Me, go and sell all your wealth and give it to the poor. Then you can come follow Me."

Turning to leave, the rich man is disappointed. He knows he can’t do that. Why? Because his security is in his money. The idol of his life is money. There is no way he could give it up.

Witnessing this exchange, the disciples become unsettled. Why would Jesus say that? What will others think? They might lose followers.

Recognizing their concern, Jesus explains how difficult it is for a wealthy person to enter heaven. His answer was more than a little alarming. It’s probably alarming many affluent individuals calling themselves Christian, today.

You might think you’re going to be saved, but all this time you’ve been putting your trust in money rather than God. God knows that your heart isn’t really His. That’s a pretty strong statement.

Choosing to follow Jesus isn’t easy. Now, don’t get Him wrong. Jesus isn’t asking everyone to give up all their earthly possessions in order to follow Him. But, He is saying that we need to be willing to give up what is most important to us to follow Him. Where are we putting our trust, our security, our hope? Is it in the things of this world, things that will pass away? Or, are we putting our trust, our security, our hope in Christ? It’s a one-time decision that needs to be renewed daily. What decision are you making? Will you walk away from Jesus disappointed, or will you walk with Jesus?

~ Matthew 19:21-23
