Obedecendo À Lei De Deus Invés Ao Homem # Obeying God’s Law Rather Than Man’s

Percebo que hoje o chamado para obedecer à lei de Deus, e não ao homem, é uma mensagem perigosa. Porque é que achas que é assim?

Considera isto:

1. A Síndrome Do Cristão Tolo
Em todo o corpo de fiéis, há alguns Cristãos tolos. Ouvem um sermão para obedecer a Deus em vez da moralidade humana, e rapaz, ficam ansiosos por sair e mexer com isso. Então, saem com as melhores intenções para dizer aos que têm autoridade sobre as suas vidas onde estão errados. Confundem confronto e rebelião com piedade, quando, na maioria dos casos são simplesmente tolos desagradáveis. Não consegues imaginar Deus, do céu, a olhar para eles, abanando a cabeça e a dizer: "Abençoados sejam os seus coraçõezinhos!"

2. Ser Liderado Pelo Espírito Santo E Pela Palavra De Deus. (Este pode realmente ser perigoso)

Quando Deus nos dá uma porta aberta para falar sobre a nossa fé em Cristo, ou o que Deus diz ser certo, precisamos de fazê-lo no Espírito. E sim, pode haver repercussões, e sim, pode haver objecções, e sim, pode haver perseguição legítima ao fazê-lo. Mas não é porque estamos a agir como um tolo. É porque obedecemos a Deus, em vez do homem, sob a liderança do Espírito Santo.

Então, Cristão, procura estar cheio do Espírito de Deus. Segue a Sua inspiração e deixa os resultados para Deus.

I realize that today the call to obey God’s law, rather than man’s, is a dangerous message. Why do you think that is?

Consider this:

1. The Christian Fool Syndrome
In every body of believers there are some Christian fools. They hear a sermon to obey God over man-made morality, and boy, are they excited about going out and stirring it up. So they go out with the best of intentions to tell those in authority over their lives where they are wrong. They confuse defiance and rebellion with Godliness, when in most cases, they are simply obnoxious fools. Can’t you picture God, from heaven, looking at them, shaking His head, and saying, "Bless their hearts!"

2. Being led by the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. (This one can really be dangerous)

When God gives us an open door to speak about our faith in Christ, or what God says is right, we need to do it in the Spirit. And yes, there may be repercussions, and yes, there may be objections, and yes, there may be legitimate persecution in doing so. But it’s not because we are acting the fool. It’s because we are obeying God, rather than man, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

So, Christian, seek to be filled with God’s Spirit. Follow His prompting and then leave the results up to God.
