Acção De Graças Cristã: Vida Futura # Christian Thanksgiving: Future Living

Ao estudar-se religião, vemos que existe uma semelhança entre muitas delas. Muitos acreditam que Deus está distante do homem e não tem nenhum desejo de estar aqui na Terra com os humanos. Ele/Ela está interessado em observar-nos à distância e intrometer-se nos nossos assuntos de vez em quando. Agora, isto é obviamente uma generalidade. Mas, como Cristãos, podemos também ver Deus desta mesma maneira. Podemos acreditar que Ele preferiria estar o tempo todo no Céu, em vez de estar aqui connosco. Alguns Cristãos também acreditam que Deus colocou as coisas em movimento e agora apenas se senta e observa tudo a acontecer até o fim.

Estas crenças estão longe da verdade de acordo com a Bíblia. Tudo o que precisamos de fazer, é voltar ao início da Bíblia e do mundo e vemos que Deus caminhou COM Adão e Eva no jardim (Génesis 3:8). Ele não deu ordens a Adão de um lugar distante no começo. Ele estava com eles. Agora, ao lermos o fim da Bíblia no livro do Apocalipse, vemos que Deus deseja que isto aconteça novamente. "A morada de Deus é com o homem", não no Céu. Se somos honestos, pode ser difícil adorar um Deus que actualmente não está a caminhar fisicamente a Terra connosco e não nos está a ensinar. Mas, podemos estar gratos que no final, assim como no início, Ele vai morar connosco aqui na Terra para sempre. Quão gloriosos serão aqueles dias!

As you study religion, you will see that there is a similarity between many of them. Many believe that God is a far off distance from man and has no desire to be here on the Earth with humans. He/She is interested in observing us from a distance and meddling in our affairs every once in a while. Now, this is obviously a generality. But, as Christians we can also view God this same way. We might believe He would rather be in Heaven the whole time then here with us. Some Christians also believe God has set things in motion and now just sits back and watches it happen until the end.

These beliefs are far from the truth according to the Bible. All we need to do is go back to beginning of the Bible and the world and we see that God walked WITH Adam and Eve in the garden (Genesis 3:8). He didn’t command Adam from a far of place in the beginning. He was with them. Now, as we read the end of the Bible in the book of Revelation, we see that God longs for this to happen again. "The dwelling place of God is with man", not in Heaven. If we are honest, it can be hard worshipping a God who is currently not physically walking the Earth with us and teaching us. But, we can be thankful that in the end, just as at the beginning, He will dwell with us here on the Earth forever. How glorious those days will be!
