Salvação, Um Pensamento Reconfortante # Salvation, A Comforting Thought

"Não posso viver essa vida."
"Tenho fé, mas sou realmente salvo?"
"Errei muito. Deus nunca me vai perdoar."

Estes pensamentos soa-te a algo familiar? Muitos Cristãos enfrentam pensamentos como estes não apenas uma ou duas vezes nas suas vidas, mas várias vezes todos os dias. Se pensaram estas coisas ou estão a pensá-las agora, tenham ânimo meus amigos. A batalha já foi vencida. No preciso segundo em que o nosso Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo tomou sobre Si os nossos pecados na cruz, a vitória foi conquistada.

Se estás a lutar por viver uma vida em Cristo ou fizeste algo que sentes ser imperdoável, sabe que Jesus já te limpou. Percebe que embora o pecado possa invadir, a vitória está em Cristo e tu estás Nele!

Questionas a tua salvação? Fica a saber que a fé que tens em Cristo é poderosa. Fica a saber que se foste chamado e justificado, então tu certamente, também, em certo sentido já estás glorificado no céu com Jesus. Como perguntas tu? Porque é uma coisa certa. Deus conhece-te e ama-te! Recebe conforto e força a partir deste facto, e sabe no teu próprio ser que a mudança que sentiste em Cristo foi uma de redenção.

Fica reconfortado, portanto, no conhecimento de que a vitória já foi ganha. Porquê? Porque foi graças a um Deus amoroso que planeou a nossa salvação antes mesmo de estarmos no útero. Glorificado seja Ele para todo o sempre. Ámen.

"I have faith, but am I really saved?"
"I messed up bad. God will never forgive me."

Do these thoughts sound familiar? Many Christians face thoughts like these not just once or twice in their lives but multiple times every day. If you have thought these things or are thinking them now, take heart my friends. The battle has already been won. The second our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took upon Himself our sins on the cross, the victory was won.

If you are struggling with living a life in Christ or have done something that you feel to be unforgivable, know that Jesus has already cleansed you. Realize that though sin may invade, the victory is in Christ, and you are in Him!

Questioning your salvation? Know that the faith you have in Christ is powerful. Know that if you have been called and justified, then you surely, too, are in a sense already glorified in heaven with Jesus. How you ask? Because it is a sure thing. God knows and loves you! Take comfort and strength from this fact, and know in your very being that the change you felt in Christ was a redeeming one.

Take comfort, therefore, in the knowledge that the victory has already been won. Why? Because it was thanks to a loving God who planned our salvation before we were even in the womb. Glory be to Him forever and ever. Amen.
