A Grande Recompensa # The Great Reward

NÃO TENHAS MEDO
Em Génesis 15:1, o Senhor está a dizer claramente a Abrão para não temer. Esta afirmação também pode ser vista por toda a Bíblia. E esta é a afirmação que Jesus quer que saibamos. 2 Timóteo 1:7 diz que Deus não nos deu o espírito de temor; mas de poder, de amor e de uma mente sã. Devemos temer nada neste mundo, porque temos um grande Deus. Temos um Deus poderoso que é maior do que qualquer circunstância que poderíamos enfrentar. Ele é maior do que qualquer problema, prova, tentação, necessidade, doença e até mesmo a morte. Portanto, no momento em que sentimos medo, devemos parar por um momento e chamar por Jesus. Serás impressionado pela forma como Ele te fortalece (Filipenses 4:13).

O TEU ESCUDO
Um escudo é algo ou alguém que o protege. Alguns dos super-heróis do mundo da ficção têm o seu próprio escudo para protegê-los de qualquer ataque do inimigo. Salmo 28:7 diz: "O Senhor é a minha força e o meu escudo; Nele confiou o meu coração, e fui socorrido; pelo que o meu coração salta de prazer, e com o meu cântico O louvarei." Jesus, como o nosso grande Pastor, tem um papel de um protector. Neste mundo que está cheio de perigos e calamidades inevitáveis, todas as pessoas querem ser protegidas. As pessoas querem estar em segurança. E este Deus, cujo nome é JESUS é o único que poderá nos garantir uma protecção consistente e constante.

O TEU ABUNDANTE (grandíssimo) GALARDÃO
Gosto da palavra "abundantemente" (grandíssimo). Esta palavra também pode ser encontrada em Efésios 3:20, onde Paulo disse que o Senhor é "poderoso para fazer tudo muito mais abundantemente além daquilo que pedimos ou pensamos." Muito mais abundantemente é ir além ou ser maior. Fala de grandeza, além de, mais do que, maior que, para além. É por isso que é muito bom saber que Jesus é a nossa grande (abundante) recompensa neste mundo. Ele é a maior bênção, o maior prémio que poderíamos ter. Se tivermos Jesus, temos tudo. Não temos mais nada a pedir.

FEAR NOT
In Genesis 15:1, the Lord is clearly telling Abram not to fear. This command can also be seen all throughout the Bible. And this is the same command that Jesus wants us to know. 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. We are to fear nothing in this world because we have a great God. We have a powerful God that is greater than any circumstance that we could ever face. He is greater than any problem, trial, temptation, need, sickness and even death. So the moment that we are feeling scared, pause for a moment and call on Jesus. You will be amazed by how He will strengthen you (Philippians 4:13).

THY SHIELD
A shield is something or someone that protects. Some of the world’s fictional superheroes have their own shield to protect them from any attack of the enemy. Psalm 28:7 says, "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise Him." Jesus, as our great Shepherd, has a role of a protector. In this world that is full of dangers and unavoidable calamities, all people want to be protected. People want to be secured. And this God, whose name is JESUS is the only one who could guarantee us a consistent and constant protection.

THY EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD
I love the word "exceeding." This word can also be seen in Ephesians 3:20 where Paul said that the Lord is "able to do exceeding abundantly above all we could ask or think." To exceed means to go beyond or to be greater. It speaks of greatness, beyond, more than, higher than, over and above. That’s why it’s really good to know Jesus is our exceeding great reward in this world. He is the greatest blessing, the greatest prize that we could ever have. If we have Jesus, we have everything. We have nothing more to ask for.
