Deus olhou para a Sua criação e disse que era muito bom. O mundo que Ele criou, as árvores e plantas, animais e insectos, e até mesmo os seres humanos eram parte deste "muito bom". Como Cristãos fazemos um bom trabalho em tentar trazer a parte humana da criação de volta para o "muito bom" de que Deus estava a falar. Falamos às pessoas sobre Jesus com a esperança de que eles coloquem a sua fé Nele. A nossa esperança é que eles possam entrar no relacionamento com Deus que Adão e Eva tinham antes da queda.
O que às vezes esquecemos é que a natureza também foi considerada "muito bom" aos olhos de Deus. Com isso em mente, temos a tendência a negligenciar a manutenção e cuidados adequados com a natureza. Quantas vezes foi-lhe dito que é o seu trabalho como Cristão proteger a Terra da destruição humana num sermão? Provavelmente nunca. O primeiro pensamento que vem à sua mente após as duas últimas frases poderá ser "fanáticos da natureza".
Em Romanos 1:20 aprendemos que a criação que Deus fez mostra o Seu eterno poder e divindade. Se este for o caso, será que não queremos que esta criação pareça o melhor para aqueles que não são seguidores de Jesus? Queremos que gerações depois de nós olhem para uma Terra árida, sem esperança nela e pensar que tipo de Deus faria isto? Olhe ao seu redor hoje e agradeça a Deus pela criação da natureza. Deixe que vos lembre do Seu poder e divindade. Deixe que isto o estimule a fazer o pouco que puder para protegê-la e mantê-la limpa.

God looked at His creation and said that it was very good. The world He created, the trees and plants, animals and insects, and even humans were a part of this "very good". As Christians we do a good job of trying to bring the human part of creation back to the "very good" that God was talking about. We tell people about Jesus with the hope that they will put their faith in Him. Our hope is that they may enter into the relationship with God that Adam and Eve had before the fall.
What we sometimes forget is that nature was also considered "very good" in God’s eyes. With this in mind, we tend to neglect the proper upkeep and care of nature. How many times have you been told it is your job as a Christian to protect the Earth from human destruction in a sermon? Probably never. Your first thought coming to your mind after the last two sentences might be "tree-huggers".
In Romans 1:20 we learn that the creation God made shows His eternal power and divine nature. If this is the case, wouldn’t we want this creation to look the best for those who aren’t followers of Jesus? Do we want generations after us to look at a barren Earth with no hope on it and to think what kind of God would make this? Look around you today and thank God for the creation of nature. Let it bring to your remembrance His power and divinity. Let that spur you on to do the little you can to protect it, and to keep it clean.
