Ser Cristão # Being a Christian

É a minha fé que me levanta quando falhei. É a minha fé que faz lembrar-me da minha verdadeira insignificância quando o mundo me é colocado aos pés por causa do meu sucesso em atirar uma bola. Para me chamar de Cristão e em seguida não me esforçar para ser o melhor que posso ser e fazer o melhor que posso com o que me foi dado seria o cúmulo da hipocrisia. Ser Cristão não é desculpa para a mediocridade ou a aceitação passiva da derrota. Se alguma coisa, o Cristianismo exige um padrão mais elevado, mais devoção à tarefa. ~ I Timóteo 6:11-12

It’s my faith that lifts me up when I’ve failed. It’s my faith that reminds me of my true insignificance when the world has been laid at my feet because of my success throwing a ball. To call myself a Christian and then not strive to be the best I can be and do the most I can with what has been given me would be the height of hypocrisy. Being a Christian is no excuse for mediocrity or passive acceptance of defeat. If anything, Christianity demands a higher standard, more devotion to the task. ~ I Timothy 6:11-12
