Na primavera de 2001, a colisão entre um avião espião Americano e um avião caça Chinês levou ambos os governos a culparem-se mutuamente. Dois governos, duas nações, mas cada um tinha visões completamente diferentes da verdade. Pela própria definição da verdade, ambos não poderiam estar certos. No entanto, muitas pessoas de todas as convicções religiosas abraçam o universalismo: a ideia de que cada religião é igualmente válida e todos os homens podem chegar a Deus e ao céu à sua maneira.
Considera o que Jesus disse: "Eu sou o caminho, a verdade, a vida. Ninguém vem ao Pai senão através de Mim." Se todas as religiões são um caminho válido para Deus, então Jesus não estava a dizer a verdade. E se Jesus não estava a dizer a verdade, então Ele não é o único caminho. A verdade, por definição, significa que uma afirmação é verdadeira e uma afirmação contraditória é falsa.
Ou Jesus é verdade ou o universalismo é verdade. Em que é que acreditas? Eu acredito em Jesus.

In the spring of 2001, the collision of an American spy plane and a Chinese fighter jet caused both governments to blame each other. Two governments, two nations, but each had completely different views of the truth. By the very definition of truth, both could not be right. Yet many people from every religious persuasion have embraced universalism: the idea that every religion is equally valid and all men can get to God and heaven their own way.
Consider what Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me." If all religions are a valid way to God, then Jesus was not telling the truth. And if Jesus was not telling the truth, He is not the only way. Truth, by definition, means that one statement is true and a contradicting statement is false.
Either Jesus is truth or universalism is truth. What do you believe? I believe Jesus.
