Uma Transformação Para Um Relacionamento # A Transformation Towards A Relationship

Digam-me que isto não soa a algo familiar.

Não se trata de colocar Deus em escolas, ou ter leis que reflectem as coisas que balançam a favor da nossa interpretação da Bíblia. Não se trata de religião. Não é sobre legalismo. É mais do que isso. Muito mais. Trata-se de RELACIONAMENTOS PESSOAIS com Deus. Este aviso (nos versos de hoje), primeiro aplicado a Israel agora aplica-se a nós. Estamos com pouco tempo, amigos. É hora de parar de tentar conquistar as pessoas com as nossas ideias e o nosso orgulho. É hora de parar de tentar conquistar as pessoas com as nossas leis. É hora de parar de tentar conquistar as pessoas, dizendo-lhes o que elas NÃO PODEM fazer. Em vez disso, vamos dizer-lhes o que PODEM fazer.

Vamos falar-lhes da transformação por que passámos. Vamos falar-lhes de como Deus mudou as nossas vidas. Vamos dizer-lhes que acreditar em Deus já não é mais suficiente. Vamos dizer-lhes como as nossas vidas mudaram desde que conhecemos Cristo. Vamos dizer-lhes que as suas vidas podem ser mudadas. Vamos dizer-lhes que Deus AS quer mais do que nunca. E melhor ainda, vamos NÓS ter um melhor relacionamento com Ele, para quando Ele nos disser para mexer-nos, vamos fazer mais nada, DO QUE mexer-nos da maneira que Ele quer.

Precisamos de melhorar-nos antes de podermos melhorar os outros. Se Ele é o nosso oleiro, e nós somos o barro, então precisamos de deixá-Lo moldar-nos, em vez de nós tentarmos moldar os outros. Afinal, o barro não pode moldar outro barro. E se o barro não tem esta relação com o oleiro, então ele morre.

Tell me this doesn’t sound familiar.

It isn’t about putting God in schools, or having laws that reflect things that sway towards your interpretation of the Bible. It’s not about religion. It’s not about legality. It’s more than that. A lot more. This is about PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS with God. This warning (in today's verses), first applied to Israel now applies to us. We’re on the clock, friends. It’s time to stop trying to win people over with our minds and our pride. It’s time to stop trying to win people over with our laws. It’s time to stop trying to win people over by telling them what they CAN’T do. Instead, let’s tell them what they CAN do.

Let’s tell them the transformation we’ve gone through. Let’s tell them of how God has moved in our lives. Let’s tell them that believing in God is no longer enough. Let’s tell them how our lives have changed since we met Christ. Let’s tell them that their lives can be changed. Let’s tell them that God wants THEM more than ever. And even better, let’s get OURSELVES on a better relationship with Him so when He tells us to move, we do nothing else BUT move in the way He tells us.

We need to improve ourselves before we can improve others. If He is our potter, and we are the clay, then we need to let Him mold us, instead of us trying to mold others. After all, clay cannot mold other clay. And if clay doesn’t have that relationship with the potter, then it dies.
