Adoração Desafiante Durante O Pior # Challenging Worship During The Worst

Esta cena do coração recto de Jó para com Deus, mesmo quando atingido pela dor e tristeza, é linda. O que o angustiou foi a devastadora notícia que recebeu de quatro mensageiros numa rápida sucessão. Eles trouxeram-lhe a notícia da seguinte forma:

Primeiro Mensageiro: Os Sabeus saquearam os teu bois e jumentos, e mataram os teus servos com espadas.

Segundo Mensageiro: Uma tempestade de fogo de algum calibre caiu do céu, consumindo as tuas ovelhas e servos.

Terceiro Mensageiro: Três grupos de Caldeus roubaram os teus camelos e mataram os servos que estavam com eles.

Quarta Mensageiro: Os teus filhos e filhas estavam a desfrutar a companhia uns dos outros, quando uma tempestade de vento esquisita destruiu a casa onde estavam, esmagando-os até à morte.

Qualquer uma destas mensagens teria sido difícil por direito próprio, mas imagine receber estas notícias de uma só vez. Ele perdeu quase simultaneamente tudo o que tinha, desde bens aos seus filhos, e ficou com pouco mais do que a si mesmo e as roupas nas suas costas. Como é que Jó respondeu? Ele "caiu no chão e adorou." Ele adorou Deus através do seu coração recto, sem pecar. Muitas vezes, não pensamos em adoração mais do que os hinos que cantamos na igreja. Mas aprendamos a adorar Deus sempre como fez Jó, especialmente nos tempos difíceis. Lembre-se, os nossos corações nunca são tão honestos como quando estamos no meio de circunstâncias difíceis. Como é que o Senhor encontrará os nossos corações em situações difíceis?

This scene of Job’s right heart toward God, even when stricken with pain and grief, is beautiful. What anguished him was the devastating news he received from four messengers in rapid succession. They brought him the news as follows:

First Messenger: The Sabeans have plundered your oxen and donkeys, and have killed your servants with swords.

Second Messenger: A fire storm of some caliber fell from heaven, consuming your sheep and servants.

Third Messenger: Three groups of Chaldeans raided your camels and killed the servants who were with them.

Fourth Messenger: Your sons and daughters were enjoying each other’s company when a freak wind storm destroyed the house they were in, crushing them dead.

Any one of these messages would have been difficult in their own right, but imagine receiving this news all at once. He simultaneously lost nearly everything he had, from property to his children, and was left with little more than himself and the clothes on his back. How did Job respond? He "fell on the ground and worshiped." He worshiped God through his right heart, without sinning. Often, we don’t think of worship as anymore than singing songs at church. But let us learn to worship God always as Job did, especially in the hard times. Remember, our hearts are never so honest as when we are in the midst of trying circumstances. How will the Lord find our hearts in difficult situations?
