Força de Carácter # Strength of Character

O tipo certo de resistência/dureza, força de carácter, deve marcar o homem de hoje, mas não só isso. Ternura, gentileza, é igualmente importante. Deus considera-os tão importantes que Ele os coloca na lista das nove qualidades que sente deve marcar a vida dos Seus filhos. O nosso objectivo é o equilíbrio... sempre equilíbrio. Não nenhum-ou, mas ambos-e. Não apenas resistente. Apenas isso torna um homem frio, distante, intolerante, insuportável. Mas resistente e ternurento... gentil, atencioso, dócil, delicado. ~ II Coríntios 9:8

The right kind of toughness, strength of character, ought to mark the man of today but not only that. Tenderness, gentleness, is equally important. God considers it so important He places it on the list of nine qualities He feels should mark the life of His children. Our goal is balance... always balance. Not either-or, but both-and. Not just tough. That alone makes a man cold, distant, intolerant, unbearable. But tough and tender... gentle, thoughtful, teachable, considerate. ~ II Corinthians 9:8
