A Arte do Casamento # The Art of Marriage

Amor que está livre de ser realista chama-nos a reconhecer que o casamento é algo que deve ser trabalhado. Não é como um casaco que é vestido, mas como uma flor que cresce. É o reconhecimento de que temos algumas necessidades que não vão ser cumpridas pela outra pessoa, e que há algumas coisas sobre as quais nunca vamos concordar totalmente. Realismo exige paciência e uma vontade de ajustar. A arte do casamento, está na manutenção do equilíbrio através das várias mudanças e ajustes da vida juntos. ~ Salmo 78:4

Love that is at liberty to be realistic calls us to recognize that marriage is something that must be worked out. It is not like a coat that is put on, but like a flower that grows. It is recognition that you have some needs which are not going to be met by the other person, and that there are some things upon which you will never totally agree. Realism demands patience and a willingness to adjust. The art of marriage, is in maintaining equilibrium through the various changes and adjustments of life together. ~ Psalm 78:4
