Alguma vez já pensou em como vai pagar pela sua aposentação quando ficar mais velho? Quanto tempo terá que trabalhar antes do seu Plano de Poupança Reforma é suficientemente grande para que não tenha que trabalhar mais. Se ainda não a tem, haverá um dia em que a terá de ter. Quando não estiver mais na Terra, o dinheiro para o qual trabalhou tanto e poupou durante toda a sua vida irá para os seus filhos como uma herança. Provavelmente irá ajudar a pagar alguma dívida ou comprar uma nova casa ou carro aos seus filhos. Heranças também podem dividir famílias, separando-as enquanto lutam para ver quem recebe o quê e quanto é que recebem. É uma pena que trabalhamos tanto para juntar dinheiro para a nossa aposentação e uma herança para os nossos filhos, quando há uma maior herança de todas pela qual devíamos combater como um seguidor de Jesus.
"Quando o Senhor dividiu Canaã entre as tribos de Israel, Levi não recebeu nenhuma parcela da terra. Deus disse-lhe simplesmente: "Eu Sou a tua parte e a tua herança", e por estas palavras a fez mais rica do que todos os seus irmãos, mais rica do que todos os reis e imperadores que já viveram no mundo. E há um princípio espiritual aqui, um princípio que ainda é válido para cada sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo.
O homem que tem Deus como o seu tesouro tem todas as coisas Numa. Muitos tesouros comuns podem lhe ser negado, ou se lhe for permitido tê-los, a satisfação com eles será tão temperado que nunca lhe serão necessários à sua felicidade. Ou se tiver que os ver desaparecer, um a um, ele dificilmente irá sentir uma sensação de perda, por ter a Fonte de todas as coisas que ele tem Numa única satisfação, todo o prazer, todo o encanto. Tudo o que ele puder perder, na verdade ele não terá perdido nada, pois agora ele tem tudo em Um, e ele o tem de forma pura, legitima e para sempre." – A.W. Tozer, A Busca de Deus

Have you ever thought about how you will pay for your retirement when you get older? Maybe how long you have to work before your 401k is big enough that you don’t have to work anymore. If you haven’t yet, there will be a day when you do. When you are no longer on this Earth, that money you worked hard for and saved up for your whole life will go to your children as an inheritance. It will probably help pay off some debt or buy a new house or car for your kids. Inheritances can also rip families apart as they fight for who gets what and how much they get. What a shame that we work so hard and horde so much money for our retirement and an inheritance for our kids when there is the greatest inheritance of all to be fought for as a follower of Jesus.
"When the Lord divided Canaan among the tribes of Israel Levi received no share of the land. God said to him simply, "I am thy part and thine inheritance," and by those words made him richer than all his brethren, richer than all the kings and rajas who have ever lived in the world. And there is a spiritual principle here, a principle still valid for every priest of the most high God.
The man who has God for his treasure has all things in One. Many ordinary treasures may be denied him, or if he is allowed to have them, the enjoyment of them will be so tempered that they will never be necessary to his happiness. Or if he must see them go, one after one, he will scarcely feel a sense of loss, for having the Source of all things he has in One all satisfaction, all pleasure, all delight.
