Quando trabalhadores da cidade de Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, disseram a Sharalee Armitage Howard que teriam de remover uma enorme árvore de 110 anos do seu quintal da frente, ela ficou triste. Determinada a preservar o que pudesse da bela árvore, decidiu transformar o tronco da árvore numa biblioteca da vizinhança gratuita com a ajuda da organização sem fins lucrativos, Little Free Library.

When city workers of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho told Sharalee Armitage Howard they would have to remove a huge 110-year-old tree from her front yard, she was saddened. Determined to preserve whatever she could of the beautiful tree, she decided to turn the tree’s trunk into a free neighbourhood library with the help of the nonprofit organization, Little Free Library.
