Quando um turista voltou a casa de uma viagem memorável à Islândia, ele quis enviar um postal de agradecimento à família que o deixou ficar na sua quinta perto de Búðardalur, a oeste da Islândia. No entanto, sem morada ou lembrança do nome da família, o melhor que pôde fazer foi desenhar um mapa onde a fazenda estava localizada, junto com informações sobre a família (a mãe trabalhava no supermercado local e a fazenda tinha muitas ovelhas!). Surpreendentemente, a carta foi entregue com êxito pelo serviço postal.

When a tourist returned home from a memorable trip to Iceland they wanted to send a thank you card to the family who let them stay at their farm near Búðardalur in the west of Iceland. However, with no address or recollection of the family’s name, the best they could do was draw a map to where the farm was located, along with information about the family (the mother worked at the local supermarket and the farm had a lot of sheep!). Amazingly, the letter was successfully delivered by the postal service.
