Estás A Viver Na Escuridão? # Are You Living In Darkness?

Martin Luther King, Jr. disse muitas coisas profundas durante a sua vida e esta não é diferente. Ele disse: "A escuridão não pode expulsar a escuridão: somente a luz consegue fazer isso."

Já estiveste numa situação onde a escuridão era tão poderosa que a luz não conseguia superá-la? Lembro-me de visitar uma caverna quando todas as luzes estavam desligadas. Não conseguia ver nada. Não conseguia nem ver a minha mão à frente da cara! E então o guia acendeu simplesmente um fósforo, apenas um fósforo e conseguimos ver toda a caverna, porque a escuridão não consegue superar a luz.

Jesus diz que Ele é a Luz do mundo, a encarnação de como conhecer Deus e como viver a vida. Poderás sentir que a tua vida está envolvida na escuridão. Poderás sentir-te perplexo por não teres descoberto a resposta para a vida. Convida Cristo para a tua vida e a luz será ligada, não importa quanta escuridão tenhas experimentado. A vida começará a fazer sentido e ficarás cheio de esperança e compreensão.

Aqui está mais uma boa notícia. Quando fazemos isto, Jesus diz que podemos ser uma luz para os outros, apontando às pessoas que estão na escuridão para a luz... a Luz de Cristo.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said many profound things during his life, and this one is no different. He said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that."

Have you ever been in a situation where the darkness was so powerful that light could not overcome it? I remember touring a cave when all the lights were turned off. I couldn’t see a thing. I couldn’t even see my hand in front of my face! And then the guide simply lit a match, one match, and we could see all over the cave, because darkness cannot overcome the light.

Jesus says He is the Light of the world, the embodiment of how to know God and how to live life. You may feel your life is engulfed in darkness. You may feel bewildered at not having discovered the answer to life. Invite Christ into your life and the light will be turned on, no matter how much darkness you’ve experienced. Life will begin to make sense and you’ll be filled with hope and understanding.

Here’s more good news. When we do this, Jesus says we can be a light to others by pointing people who are in the dark to the light... the Light of Christ.
